Water Pipe Inspections
Semtex Trenchless Solutions provides specialist internal inspection services for selected potable-water, raw-water, fire, industrial and pressure pipeline systems.
The inspection method is selected according to pipe diameter, material, length, access, operational requirements and whether the pipeline can be safely isolated, drained and prepared for inspection.
Our capabilities may include:
Internal CCTV and remote visual inspection
Push-rod inspection of accessible pipelines
Inspection of tanks, chambers and pipe spools
Corrosion and internal coating assessment
Identification of scale, sediment and tuberculation
Inspection of joints, bends, fittings and connections
Pre-rehabilitation and post-rehabilitation inspection
Visual assessment of liner and coating condition
Digital video, imagery and project reporting
Conditions identified
Inspection may identify internal corrosion, tuberculation, failed coatings, sediment or scale, joint defects, deformation, foreign objects, deteriorated fittings, liner damage and other visible conditions affecting pipeline operation or rehabilitation planning.
Potable-water controls
Potable-water inspections require strict hygiene and contamination controls. Inspection equipment and access arrangements are cleaned and disinfected as required, and the pipeline is returned to service in accordance with the project and asset-owner requirements.
Specialist inspection requirements
Not all live pressure pipelines can be inspected using conventional CCTV. Long-distance, live or non-isolatable pipelines may require specialist tethered, free-swimming, acoustic or other condition-assessment technology provided with technical partners.
A site-specific review is completed to confirm access, isolation, dewatering, disinfection, inspection range, reporting requirements and the safest practical method.
