Milricks Line
Project Details
Location: Millricks Line, Palmerston North, New Zealand
Client: Palmerston North City Council
Pipe Diameter: 600mm
Technology Used: UV-CIPP pipe relining
Liner System: IMPREG GL16 UV-cured GRP liner
Equipment: ProKASRO CCU UV curing system
Project Challenges: Tight access, groundwater, and deteriorated host pipe condition
Outcome: Successful structural rehabilitation with minimal excavation and disruption
The Solution
For this project, UV-CIPP pipe relining was selected as the most effective trenchless rehabilitation method. The process involved installing a glass-reinforced liner into the existing pipeline before curing it in place using controlled UV light.
Once cured, the liner formed a strong, smooth, and structurally sound pipe within the existing host pipe. This method is ideal for council, infrastructure, and commercial pipeline assets where long-term performance, reduced disruption, and efficient project delivery are key priorities.
